Accessability and Usability Issues with Twitter

Paragraph 1 - Introduction

When I visit websites, there aren't usually very many that cause me any of the problems listed in the video barring one, and surprisingly, https://twitter.com/explore is actually one of the sites that I have accessability issues with. The goal/purpose of the website is to act as a social networking site for people to post things that they find enjoyment in or simply posting for publicity, including news outlets and such. The target audience of Twitter stems between young adults from at least 29-34, or fully aged adults in their 40's to 50's. Twitter serves as more of a public website that anyone can use and post things on for whatever reasons, as it is simply just meant to be another social networking site for use by anyone. However, that doesn't mean it doesn't have its fair share of accessibilty problems between platforms.

Paragraph 2 - The Problems with Twitter's UI

On the computer, the website is mostly alright, barring two exceptions: one which is an option to go to specific post instead of having to manually scroll to it, which could take quite awhile, and two which is the fact that the text seems to be just a tad too small for me at least. The small text is more of the worst defender because I have poor vision and need to wear glasses or contacts in order to see certain things, and reading screens typically requires me to get really close to it, but then in result it can strain my eyes. These two specific things apply to both the website version and the mobile version on phones, tablets, etc. Needless to say, the problem with Twitter's UI is it can be difficult for people like me who have impaired vision to read things on it clearly from time to time, and most of all, it can be annoying when using Twitter on the phone, because not only is the text smaller, but the scrolling can sometimes glitch and send you to the top of a page that you are browsing, meaning you lose all of your scrolling progress and have to spend minutes on end doing it again. So overall, the problems I see in Twitter is that the interface is too small and too time-consuming to constantly browse through, as it's not like eBay where you can use a gallery options to see listing clustered together, which makes browsing Twitter a bit fundamentally flawed to me personally.
