This is the final project for CMWEB150, and as such, will contain examples of web accessibility throughout the entire course. Click on the links below to visit the different pages to see examples of accessibility put into action.
Project Requirements:
For this project, you are to develop 6 pages demonstrating what you have learned about accessibility in this course.
Focus on the numerous aspects of accessibility we have covered. At a minimum, your site should include:
For page 1, create a discussion of what it means to have an accessible website (section 508, WCAG and various guidelines).
For page 2, use an example of an accessible data table.
For page 3, use an example of an accessible form.
For page 4, create a discussion of accessibility testing (including a list of tools you would recommend).
For page 5, use an example of an accessible PDF.
For page 6, use an example of a closed captioned multimedia work.
Note that the majority of the above information has been created in various labs during this semester. You only need to develop a way to present them and include additional text to explain the examples (i.e., what they represent).
To complete this project, you need to create 6 pages - see the above bullets - one page per bullet). All pages are to be linked together with navigation/menu. All pages should pass both HTML validation and WAVE accessibility. Post your site on you student site and provide links from your initial page. I will be grading this project using the following criteria:
